Sadness is Dancing (2021) is a 5-minute digital road movie and video essay. Throughout the runtime, the protagonist attempts to visit her cousin, family, and friends who have moved to Canada, New Zealand, Germany, and other countries using the free Google Earth service. As she struggles to locate accurate addresses and roams through random streets, the novel The Enigma of the Return spins through her mind. The book's content (displayed as white subtitles) and her memories of family members (displayed as yellow subtitles) are cross-edited and narrated. Mirroring the feeling of unfulfilled longing, the protagonist ultimately fails to find her cousins’ house.

Each disc marks day and night in Seoul (Republic of Korea), Vancouver (Canada), Christchurch (New Zealand), and Berlin (Germany) and rotates at the same speed. Just as the Earth rotates, each of its days meets and parts repeatedly. It is designed for relatives and friends who go through the process of asking each other's time even for simple hello calls. It visualizes the physical distance and time differences in our relationships. However, it is not currently functional due to technical errors.
